Olivia+Wilson | Pike Road, AL Wedding
"A lot of the things we chose for our wedding day had a special meaning behind them.
"The engagement ring and wedding band are very special. Wilson’s grandmother offered her engagement ring and wedding band to Wilson when he first thought about proposing to me. It is so important that not only did Wilson choose me but his family, and even his grandmother, loves me enough to allow me to have such a special gift.
"It was also such an honor to wear my stepmom’s pearls in her memory."
"Wilson has talked about wanting a banjo since we started dating. I had planned on getting him one as a wedding gift a while back. Right after I gave it to him, he told me he thought I had gotten him a puppy (because I have been talking about wanting one!) and he was so relieved that he received a banjo instead!"
"When I went wedding dress shopping, I told myself that I would not get a strapless dress. Unfortunately, that day the only dress I found that I loved was strapless. After talking with my grandmother, she offered me lace from her wedding dress. It was really cool to be able to use pieces of her dress to add straps to make my dress exactly what I had wanted."
"The cross we used in the ceremony was borrowed from Wilson’s home church. His mom had it made from old scraps of wooden picture frames to give it a unique sentimental look. The altar was handmade by a friend of ours out of oaks from a swamp in Wetumpka."
"The Lord truly blessed our day and we are so happy and thankful to have these memories forever!"
